The late model 32V Porsche 928 engine utilizes two knock sensors strategically placed on the engine block.  These sensors are matched to the electronics in the EZK ignition module and together they provide excellent spark retard (by cylinder).  The stock system works very well.  If you are doing an intake refresh on a Porsche 928 32V, and you suspect the knock sensors are in need of replacement, that is a good time to perform the service.  This is a critical component for any supercharged or turbocharged Porsche 928 32V engine.

Don't overlook this critical piece of your ignition system!
